I'm Mihir Okte, a software engineer at Amazon in Bengaluru. I work on the systems that take and refund orders for Amazon's Global Stores.
I studied Mathematics and Computing at IIT Delhi, class of 2023. My final-year project was a Rubik's cube solver; the cube is still on the shelf behind me.
Outside work I play football most weeks, usually in midfield, and FIFA on the PS5 when I can't get to a pitch. I cook on weeknights, slow dishes, with spice.

Materate · Pricing · StoryProcess
Built Materate's first dashboards and web app, and a tool for StoryProcess that turned a spoken pitch into a short animation.
Talk Mode
2026
An Alexa skill that lets me talk to an AI model through the Echo in my room. I say "Alexa, start talk mode", then ask anything in my own words and keep asking follow-ups until I say stop. It can look things up on the web and add to my task list, and an average question costs less than a tenth of a cent.
A Mac app I use to study for interviews. It has courses, drills and coding problems, and it checks my answers on the laptop itself, with no account and no internet needed.
A personal assistant that lives inside Telegram. It runs on a server, so it keeps working when my phone has no signal. I use it every day.
Rubik's cube solver
b.tech thesis
Treats the cube as a maths object, turns each move into a step on a map, and searches for the shortest route to solved. Any scramble in under two seconds.
Speech-to-animation
storyprocess
Speak a pitch into a microphone and get a short animated video back. Built so a small team could make many pitches quickly.
